Underwater Mechanix is now serving Charleston, South Carolina as a local marine contractor!

After an incredible year of growth in the Southeast, we are happy to expand with a new location in South Carolina. At UMX, we are proud of our services and are looking to go further, serving more clients with increased capacity and capabilities. With offices in the Park Circle area of north Charleston, UMX can now offer more on-demand services to larger marine projects in the region.

Since July of 2021, the Underwater Mechanix team in South Carolina led by Joseph Volino, Director of Business Development, has provided heavy construction and commercial diving services for multiple ongoing projects in Charleston. These projects consist of highly specialized marine heavy construction and engineering with up to 20 personnel on site. We have assisted with Pier X-Ray, TC Dock rehabilitation, bridge demo, and currently have a five year on-call contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers in the region. Our time in Charleston so far has been extremely rewarding.

Now, as a local contractor to the Charleston area, UMX is offering our full range of marine contracting services to clients in this region. Our services include but are not limited to: diamond wire saw cutting, marine construction and engineering, emergency response and salvage, commercial diving services, environmental services, and marine fabrication.
