James River Bridge, Hampton, VA

UMX completed 140 total structural jacket installations for the power line supports running adjacent to the James River Bridge in Hampton, VA. The project consisted of excavating 4’ below the natural bottom, placing of bottom seals’ standoffs, fiberglass Denso jackets, and rebar cages. A total of 204 jackets were installed ranging from 10’ to 40’ in jacket length. Diving operations were conducted two miles from shore off of a 30’ x 100’ crane barge.
